Allosaurus was unlikely to have tolerated the presence of another of its kind. Fossil finds show that Tyrannosaurus was prone to cannibalism and it is likely that earlier theropods behaved in the same manner, hunting alone and only occasionally co-operating with another giant killer when the prey was of sufficient bulk to necessitate it.
